Youth Arts Against Violence (YAAV) is an arts program for youth ages 12-24 living in Peel Region. We promote anti-violence messaging through artistic expression.
We offer free workshops in fine arts, photography and digital media every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4-7 pm. We are located inside Eclypse Drop-In Centre (71 West Drive, Unit 21, Brampton). For high school students, we also offer community service hours.
All completed projects will be showcased in our annual YAAV Festival, to be held this year on Friday, November 12, 2010. It’s a great way to develop your artistic skill, learn about social justice and give back to your community!

We are also looking for volunteer artists to facilitate one-day workshops during the summer months. If you are skilled in any artistic medium (dance, theatre, spoken word, music production, etc.) and wish to share your talent with our youth, we encourage you to also get in touch.
