Modern Batik Movement is an artistic collective comprised of entrepreneurs who have their eyes set on building a loving community, by doing what they love to do. In providing batiking workshops, it is their goal to see cultural barriers dissolved in the exploration of one’s creativity.
Furthermore, they anticipate active involvement of the surrounding community as they work to forge relationships rooted in the sense of inclusion and appreciation that is so intrinsically a part of this unique creative process.
MBM feels strongly in the ability to use batik to empower; to educate; and to heal.
MBM is holding their first exhibition on October 20 at L’Amoreaux Collegiate Institute (2501 Bridletown Circle, Toronto Ontario). Come out to this special event and join them for the evening. Refreshments are provided.
