Salmon Run Project: The Exhibition. In collaboration with the Culture Division, City of Mississauga, the Art Gallery of Mississauga is presenting the Salmon Run Project: The Exhibition. Twenty-four artists have each created a unique piece of art using the form of a salmon. The works will be displayed at the opening and then at various locations along the Credit River throughout the summer in conjunction with the Salmon Run Project. A special poster/map will be available highlighting all the locations. All the artworks are available for purchase through the Art Gallery of Mississauga silent auction. You can place a bid on the artwork by calling the Gallery at 905 896 5088. Final bids must be received by 5:00pm on September 30, 2011.
The opening will feature a variety of events including food, floral displays by The World Flower Council and The Canadian Academy of Floral Art and a demonstration with fish fly tier Sheldon Seale.
