Exhibit: Community Showcase: Art Gala Forum presents, ‘Duality’. Art Gala Forum is a Mississauga-based collective whose members meet to exchange knowledge of art matters and express their creativity through painting. In this exhibition, the artists converge on the topic of the duality, each exploring their individuality through conscious and subconscious representations of the “self”. These residual impressions – reflections on moments in time, people and places – have become important tools for reinforcing the artist’s identity. Exhibiting a diversity of painting methods, the AGF members draw from the history of the art form, using its wealth of visual languages to better describe the complexities of the human psyche.
